Bez-Filtra new album “Czekasz Tam”
I am fortunate to be a colleague of Dom Lorek, one of the members of the heavy metal band Bez – Filtra, and this gave me the opportunity to discover an album that, without a doubt, will stay in my mind for a long time.
It’s called “Czekasz Tam”, the mini-album released by the Krakow-based band, a true heavy metal gem that takes me back to the days when metal was truly metal, and the guitar was, indeed, the guitar.
Starting with the cover and continuing with the interior design, the album perfectly blends nostalgia with modernity. The colors and aesthetics pay tribute to the classic style of ’80s and ’90s metal, with that authentic “pure metal” feel. Every visual detail transports you back to a time when your favorite band made you feel every note, and the electric sound of the guitars was truly powerful and relentless.
“Czekasz Tam” contains four tracks, each with its own unique character, but all united by the same metallic force that stirs you up: “Prezegrany” (Lost), “Manifest” (my favorite), “Czekasz Tam” (You’re Waiting There), and “Bez Filtra” (No Filter). Each song is an explosion of energy, but not in a chaotic way; every riff and every melodic line is carefully crafted, offering the listener a complete sonic journey.
Dominik Lorek’s rhythm guitar is simply devastating. The sound is so powerful that you almost feel overwhelmed by every chord, and Jacek Toron’s mind-blowing solos are a true marvel, cutting through the air with every note. The rhythm section, with Tomasz Baran on drums and Robert Jaworski on bass, forms a solid and unbeatable foundation, perfectly synchronized. Their rhythms are not only precise but also full of vibrant energy that brings each track to life.
The cherry on top of this metal album is the unmistakable voice of Przemyslaw Kozak. His deep and powerful voice adds authenticity and passion to every song. It’s the kind of voice that transports you straight into the middle of a medieval battle or onto a battlefield where only the strongest survive. It may not be a “commercial” voice, but it is certainly exactly what’s needed to make the music of Bez-Filtra so special.
“Czekasz Tam” is, without a doubt, an album that must be listened to in its entirety and experienced to the fullest. I am incredibly happy to see that there are still bands that revive that pure and raw energy of classic metal, without compromise. These tracks are made to be played and experienced live, in front of a crowd of fans who give their all at every riff, every solo, every blast of drums.
It’s a pleasant surprise to hear metal music of this quality in a time when many bands seem to have forgotten what it means to make authentic metal. I imagine that live, the guys from Bez-Filtra create a storm and tear up the stage, as any band truly respecting the essence of metal deserves to.
